Ben is a Christian, husband, father of five now adult children, beekeeper, educator, author, speaker, and friend. He was raised on a family farm in western Pennsylvania and went on to earn an Agricultural Science degree from Penn State University. After graduating, Ben worked for Maryland State Department of Agriculture and farmers for 32 years. Ben is a double cancer survivor and used writing as therapy to write his first book. That began a writing journey that has led to becoming a devotional writer for two of Guideposts imprints. He uses his love and experiences with animals and nature to write about our wonderful Creator. Be teaches continuing educational classes at a local college that include beekeeping and creative writing. He enjoys speaking at retreats, church camps, and youth events.
